Available Sizes
- Standard widths from 3/8” to 1-1/4”
- Standard gauges from .015” to .044”
- Custom widths and gauges available
- Oscillated Coils (50, 100, and 1,000 lb coils)
- Ribbon Wound
- 100’, 200’ and 300’ Mini coils
- Pony Coils (30 to 50 lbs)
Mini-Coils
are available in Stainless as well as other strapping grades and finishes. Provided in self-dispensing cartons in 100', 200', 300' lengths and "pony" coils (30 to 50 lbs).
Ribbon Wound
strapping is wound onto itself to form a coil that is the same width as the strapping. Inside diameter is 16". Individual coil weight will vary with strapping width. Approximately 2400 lbs. per pallet is standard.
Oscillated Wound
Standard coils have a 16" inside diameter with a 2-5/8" width face. Individual coils are stacked 12 to the pallet - approximate weight is 100 lbs per coil, 1200 lbs per pallet.
Jumbo coils have a 16" inside diameter with either a 6" or 12" width face. Approximate weight is 1,000lb/coil.
Punched Strapping
Punched strapping is available in 3/4" and 1-1/4" widths in gauges from .020" thru .035" and in either Stainless, Regular Duty, or High Tensile. Standard punched strapping has .140" diameter holes, 3/4" on center. Plumbers Tape has a "big" hole (.2875") "little" hole (.186") configuration, 3/4" on center. Both are available in 100' and 200' Mini-coils or 100lb oscillated coils.

Seals / Clips
- Seals are available in Carbon and Stainless Steel.
- Other grades of material available upon inquiry.
- Stainless Steel Wing Seals and Buckles available upon request.
Pusher-Type Seals
These are specifically designed to work with pusher tools. Available for standard duty and high tensile strapping. These seals will also work with conventional tools.
Open Seals
These are the most commonly used type of seal. They are designed for standard duty strapping and are applied after strapping is tensioned.
The 3-3/8" × 5" Anti-skid Plate is a simple and inexpensive devise that reduces product movement in trailers or railcars
UniForm Series™
In addition to the standard products, YSM produces some unique steels that are often the only solution for difficult applications.
Magnetic Appeal
UniForm 100™ provides enhanced magnetic properties without the need for costly decarburization anneals after forming.
Strength Plus Formability
When you require the perfect balance of ductility for difficult forming and high strength in the finished part - inquire about UniForm 800™.
UniForm 100™
Ultra-low carbon steel intended for DC magnetic applications as well as for use as magnetic shielding in CRT and televisions.
UniForm 200™
Stabilized, ultra-low carbon steel produced with superior drawability, measured by high "r-values" and low hardness and yield strength.
UniForm 500™
A very low hardness variation of standard, high carbon grades, such as 1050 and 1074. Rockwell B hardness of 68 to 70 is possible in 1050 steel, with superior formability. Tensile properties can approach that of low carbon steel.
UniForm 800™
A variety of customized, HSLA-based, high strength products. Includes annealed grades 50 to 70, as well as 80,000 psi minimum yield strength CR product.
HS Series™
HS125, HS150 and HS170. These are produced to standard, minimum yield strength levels of 125,000 psi, 150,000 psi and 170,000 psi, respectively. Advantages of these new products are as follows:
*At 170,000 minimum yield, this is equivalent to heat treated 1050 @ Rc 40 min. Replacing high carbon steels and heat treatment costs are often possible, with elimination of distorted parts and costly sorting.
*Steel is produced with strip steel tolerances, very uniform in gauge.
